New Method to Treat Cancer

The current BNCT treatments, conducted and supervised by Boneca, are based on long-term research and development. Boneca and its main partners, Helsinki University Central Hospital and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, have conducted research on BNCT for nearly two decades, and clinical trials for 10 years.  This multidisciplinary collaboration has made Finnish BNCT research well known world-wide.  Boneca is determined to continue the clinical research of BNCT with Helsinki University Central Hospital.

Boneca is the only health care company in the whole world having a radiation safety audited BNCT treatment procedure and facility. The first audit was conducted in 2005.

Patient treatments are given jointly with Department of Oncology, Helsinki University Central Hospital, the leading hospital in Finland.  At present (August 2010), over 250 BNCT treatments have been administered in Finland.
